*accepted* Application - Whatthepho-Caelestrasz (Feral)

Me:
Character Name:
Whatthepho
Class/Level:
Feral Druid/80
Armory Link:

(Replace the ' with a %27)
A Short Life Story:
(We're a guild that has a high social factor, so we like to know more about our new recruits!)
My wife, Lingfabao, and I used to play on Uther in a fantastic guild called Chapter Zero. Recently, we apped and joined a guild named SOS on Caelestrasz that is too hardcore for our tastes. So now we're looking for something more in line with our interests and FM seems to fit the bell perfectly.
Personally, we live in Japan, and travel quite a bit for work so sometimes we use WoW as a way to stay together even when we're apart. We're both American, between the two of us we have enough languages that we can speak to about 75% of the world and although I am not Vietnamese, all of my toons' names are based on pho puns. If you don't know what pho is, on your next cold day, or any day really, find the nearest Vietnamese restaurant and ask for a hot bowl of "Fuh." You won't be disappointed.
Alts:
None I'd be bringing to this server, though I have a pally and a priest parked in my guild on Uther.
(Mark your favourite with a *. And why is it your favourite anyway?)

Raiding:
Raiding Spec:
I'm dual-specced feral as cat and bear. Perfectly comfortable doing either in a raid.
Raiding Gear summary + upgrade intentions:
My bear set's a bit better than my cat, but I'd say both are very good. Since I assume I'd be dpsing for you guys, my upgrade intentions are getting my 4 piece bonus and Deathbringer's Will if I can ever get in a raid when it drops.
Raiding Experience:
Everything up to Lich King, though surprisingly little of Ulduar. Between the time difference we have with US East Coast and TOC coming out so quickly, Ling and I didn't get to see much of it. I've tanked up to Putricide or so in 10 mans, and much of the rest as DPS.
Last Raid Boss Kill:
Sindragosa

My History:
Current Guild:
SOS on Caelestrasz
Reason for leaving current guild:
Guild is too hardcore for either my or Ling's tastes. I raid to have fun, and beating your head against a wall for night after night trying to get the same boss down is not my idea of fun. They seem like decent people, but we don't feel the right fit.
Previous guilds:
Chapter Zero, Ghosts of Retribution and Council of Nine on Uther.

The People I know:
References from Fey Mercurial:
References from outside Fey Mercurial:
Sadly, we know no one on this server. Heard good things about Dath'Remar from a friend named Trelox who used to play here, but that was a while ago since he left.

The Random Space:
Thoughts & Feelings about the Guild Charter.
I like it. I really appreciate the flexibility and that fact that you guys seem like genuinely nice people, a trait often lacking in WoW. By the way, I was wandering the Dath'Remar server forum and I'm still amazed at how little vitriol there is. Hell, you had a post about logic puzzles, and people were actually contributing to it. Incredible.

The Vitriol left when a certain guild left for a pvp server.
You are not your magic weapon and armor. You're not your spell buffs. You're not how much gold you have, or how many times you've been raised from the dead. When a Big Bad Demon snaps your sword in two, you do not cry because that was your holy avenger. You leap onto its back, climb up to its head, and punch it in the eye, then get a new damn sword off of the next humanoid you headbutt to death.

Hey :)

Thanks for the application - would it be simplest to organise a vent chat one evening to discuss your application?
