1. Have Fun
This is a game, and we play it to have fun. Regardless of how little, or how often you play, we try to foster a fun atmosphere.
Reality check: If you are no longer enjoying your play time, take a break, and come back when you're ready. We have no minimum attendance criteria, so there is no pressure to continue to play if you're not enjoying yourself. We'll be here to lend a hand when you're ready to get back into the game.
2. Integrity and Respect
We have a good reputation on this server and we intend to keep it. As such we do not tolerate griefing, ninja'ing of items/nodes, flaming (in-game or on the forums), nor do we use exploits in order to advance through content. Respect each other, no matter how senior or new to the guild somebody may be. Every single person deserves to be treated and spoken to with the same level of respect you would expect for yourself. Respect others not only in the guild but out of it as well.
Reality check: Your actions are representative of us all. It takes a long time to build respect and earn a good reputation and very little to destroy it. Be mindful of the implications of your actions.
3. Understanding
We are not hardcore, and actually go out of our way to accommodate "casual" players in our raids. A number of guild rules revolve around giving players with "limited game time opportunities", the ability to experience all aspects of the game. An example of such a rule is the "missed last week's raid" rule, which gives priority signup approval to players who did not raid that instance the previous week. In this way, we are able to accommodate the wide variety of players from the regular raiders to the most casual members. We pride ourselves on being a guild where whatever your play style, you can fit in and enjoy all content.
Reality Check: While we are an understanding guild, this is not a license to signup and drop out of raids ad-hoc. If you sign up for a raid, you should be available for the raid duration. If for any reason you cannot attend the full run, please make sure that this is clearly stated in your signup note, and the raid leader is made aware of this before the run starts. We are understanding, but must also be fair to other members who have queued for the run. Repeated abuse of our signup system (repeated unannounced afks, early exits of runs without pre-warning) may result in disciplinary action.
4. Help Others
We're in this guild together for companionship, and help. Try to be conscious of the fact that people have varying playtime and opportunity to complete non-solo content, and to provide help when you're able. The greatest learning for lesser experienced players comes from partying with the more experienced. Add diversity to your groups.
Reality Check: This is not an invitation to request power-leveling. More knowledge and satisfaction is gained from completing instances in a group of an appropriate level for that instance. If there isn't enough in your level bracket online, ask if people have alts or try to make contacts outside of the guild to fill numbers. My mindful that everybody has their own needs too, and to be patient when looking for help.
5. Friends and Family First
This is a game. Real life is not. This guild is founded on the undeniable truth that real life will always come first. People do get called into work, homework doesn't do itself, children get sick, family members need time and support, and shit definitely does happen. We will never think any less of you for putting your family and friends first, and the game some distance behind.
Reality Check: While we understand that things do come up at the last minute, there is still common courtesy required in letting people know if you can't make a raid, or scheduled event you have signed up for or arranged with guildies. Please don't make a habit of repeatedly leaving your guild mates waiting for you outside an instance because you forgot to cancel.
